The RHA presented significant donations to two of its charity partners at the CV Show at the Birmingham NEC this week.

RHA chairman Moreton Cullimore handed over a cheque for £27,500 to Caroline Barber from international development organisation Transaid, which improves lives in developing countries by making transport more available, affordable and sustainable.

The RHA has supported Transaid since 2015, with members raising funds for the charity each year since.

In a separate presentation, RHA vice chair Tim Wray presented a cheque for nearly £70,000 to Jim French from the RHA Benevolent Fund.

The Benevolent Fund is a charity helping people connect to the road transport industry who face hardship due to illness, age, bereavement and other difficulties.

Both presentations took place on the second day of the UK’s largest road freight, transport and distribution event, with industry delegates attending from across the country.
